$10 Tier Poll - Cooldown Lengths (Patreon)

Hello Alley Crew!

It's time to gauge the general tier satisfaction with cooldown structures. These were primarily put into place so as to create a larger rotation of ladies, so we wouldn't have the same handful winning over and over. Simultaneously it's important to recognize that certain characters are popular for a reason, so locking them behind too long cooldowns would also be a mistake, meaning it's about striking some kind of balance. Walking along the razor's edge, so to speak.

Current cooldowns:

Character victory - cooldown for 6 polls.
Theme victory - cooldown for 2 polls.

With an average of 2 polls per month, that means a victorious character won't be featured for about 3 months time. Conversely, the timing of the cooldowns and polls mean that a victorious character will return for the other content format than they won previously, so someone winning a Loop will generally be returning for a Scenario, and vise versa. People may not know this, but this also presumes they are nominated by someone - I do not actually automatically add characters back into the polls after their cooldown has ended, but wait for someone in the tier to ask for their inclusion once again. This owing to how character popularity sometimes is dictated by real-world occasions, such as a new game release in a series making them surge in popularity, only for them to become less prominent afterwards. With 25 voting options max in Patreon polls and significantly more ladies than that (never mind squeezing in the themes), we're already struggling for space here.

Conversely, Themes are structured in their cooldowns so that voters always have 3 options to select from, but I have in the past considered bumping that to 1 additional poll in length, which would mean that people would instead have 2 choices at any given time, which might give the less popular themes a better shot at being selected.

It's worth mentioning that the feedback I've gotten on Cooldowns over the months, particularly since Scenarios were launched, have been very mixed. Some have insisted on wanting them made significantly longer or even as a matter of permanent elimination until we've gone through the list, so to speak, whereas others have wanted Cooldowns shortened or even removed all together. I realize these are the people not happy with the current format which makes them more prone on voicing their feedback, so it is high time that I try to gather some data on this matter - hence this poll.
