Progress Report, 04/06 - 2021 (Patreon)

Hello everyone and welcome to another progress report!

This week's been on the busy end again with the technical side of things, but I've also worked on a Scenario to the point where I'm comfortable revealing it. Above is a teaser shot for "Dossier: The Convict" which I believe I'll be able to create in a decent, somewhat timely fashion. You might imagine what it's about :)

Though I definitely don't expect it to be done for Monday, it shouldn't, assuming I can find the corresponding sound and video files, take as long as the previous one did - particularly not with my current, more adept computer rig.

The Warcraft comic is being made in conjunction with a deep-dive into model making, ripping, rigging and sculpting, which makes it a multi-pronged approach with a focus on understanding the specific matters required to rip models from a game, clean them up, sculpt them into the shape, up the quality of the textures, rig them, weight paint them properly, and then have them ready for posing and animation. This will, needless to say, translate into other model work as well, not only that of Warcraft nature, with the hope that I'll be able to use this as both a testing ground and a learning experience for future ventures. Bangfri is yet to give me a clear expected deadline on my orc model, the last I heard of him mentioning something about this summer, but as the finished model there will still be a generic orc lady model I have opted to begin making my own, using it as a manner of test-dummy for learning the ropes as well as getting the curves befitting that of my OC and other characters. I'll be sharing her character sheet soon, courtesy of an amazing artist in our midst :)

I recently also spoke to the big ol' government again, and it seems my case is being moved along as it should. Hopefully we'll see results soon so I know how to proceed, with the usual maximum handling time being 3 weeks or so. Supposedly 6 now owing to corona and the likes, which is understandable. Still, I'd like to know whether to dive into this full-time or go for a part-time job at this rate, and I have to know before quitting my current job. Regardless, time will tell.

The heat has finally arrived proper up here and I've got fans running next to my computer, keeping a nervous eye on the temperatures. Hopefully this summer won't be as hot as the one in 2019, where I swear I was about to melt. Stay hydrated and manage your salt intakes - we're living through this too, damn it :)
