Sometimes, in times of need, one has to swallow one's pride and simply find help. Gwen was by all accounts brilliant, hard working, and possessed what most older generations would consider "spirit" for work, but with the recent economic turns, had come up short of her tuition fees.

As the saying goes: You need but to ask, and you may find help in the least likely of places. Besides, at the end of it all, pride wasn't the only thing she was willing to swallow for her dreams.
