Progress/Health Report, 27/11 - 20 (Patreon)

Hello everyone and welcome to yet another in the line of progress reports.

Not a ton to report on this week owing to my fever symptoms only starting to properly give up towards Thursday. Owing to the pandemic, I can't go into the hospital with a potentially infectious disease unless I suddenly get significantly worse, but it seems to be solving itself on its own, albeit slowly. Thank you for your patience and understanding over this - these are some rough times, but I hope to be back in full swing by next week.

On a more interesting note, our Male VA Poll has finally come to a close. People's past experiences with male VA seems to have put them slightly in the negative overall. Monsters, while receiving a massive outpouring for its Grunts and Noises option, is particularly interesting with its massive gap between that and the option also containing spoken lines. Meanwhile, Aliens perform on par with human characters in that they're preferred with spoken lines/grunts/noises, while both Humans and Aliens outperform Monsters who have spoken lines involved in both those metrics.

In other words, the community wouldn't mind Albert Wesker letting out a small taunting comment before nutting into Jill Valentime with a moan, nor a Turian doing the same with Jack, or a Yahg with Liara, but when it comes to a Minotaur or a Regenerator, they should be limited to more base instinct moans when going about their business.

What is also noteworthy is that while people by a majority might have had a generally negative experience of male VA in the past, the notion itself definitely still merits exploration - particularly owing to the 26 solitary votes given to the "No Male VA At All" option towards the end, which is roughly half of those "Generally Disliking" male VA. Meanwhile, Male VA overall seems to poll in favor of being primarily relegated to background noise, though I imagine there's a good example where this could face an exception: I could for instance give a project life in a large gang bang scene with plenty of grunts and groans from the male end, whether they're monsters, aliens or humans - creating that atmosphere of, with a lack of better word, the "dominance" of any given lucky lady involved that people seem to enjoy a lot, but without it being too intrusive or drowning her out completely. This structure would probably not apply to solo scenes, where there's a more personal focus at hand, as it could potentially take away from the scene instead.

I'll be taking these results to heart, at the very least, when proceeding from here. Thanks in particular to those who elaborated in the comments, as polls are effectively never sufficient to catch the actual nuances of people's opinions on these matters.

Having received Moonie's VA work, I intend to give it a listen over the weekend and see if it needs any additional work, provided I am allowed sleep. The fallout period, after coming out of illness, sometimes feel worse than the actual feverish period itself, weirdly. The goal now is to finish up the project in question, and have it out by early December. I'll also be polling people on a Christmas oriented wallpaper, and possibly a New Years Pinup, so look forward to that :)

Posting this at almost 3 in the night, owing to a persistent cough that won't let me sleep, I intend to go get myself some tea, and hope to get a few more hours.
