Hello everyone and welcome to another progress report!

Let's keep it brief, since I have to rush off to work. Fridays used to be one of those days where I had a bit of spare time, but in times like these, they seem to be the most hectic day of the week - probably owing to the personnel shift between weekday and weekend. But I digress, actual progress has been made this week!

SFM has so far been fairly stable, save for a triple event of crashing to desktop when I tried to re-scale a bone, which I guess is kind of counter-intuitive to mention after saying the first bit. Regardless, the scene replacement from the old V4 Lulu model into V5 is going smooth, and even with it being effectively an abandoned project by Aardvark, it is vastly superior in its weight painting, deformation etc. The scene above is in fact a placeholder - chances are I'll be making changes to it for it to make more sense in its continuity.

In other words, work is underway, and finally it seems we have a model that won't be fighting me every step of the way. Subsequently, the work to replace Lulu in every single scene of the project is underway, as well as the re-animation of the parts that were close to completion. I am already much happier with how this model behaves and how the project works out overall, which helps a lot with motivation. The VA work we've gotten meanwhile has been listened through properly, and I can personally vouch for its quality. I am particularly looking forward to the more humorous elements of this project, and hope they land as opposed to being annoying :)

Commissions are still underway. My hopes of finishing another yesterday were sadly quashed by life, but since I have only a few left I should be able to get to the rest of you in the near future. Thank you for being so patient with me.

Regarding the orc model, Bangfri has broken the radio silence. He's building several WoW models at the same time, and while I was aware of his immense work load, I never quite figured just how much he was working on. He's promised to keep my model in mind, which I hope means we'll see something in the near future! Can't wait to start the warcraft comic in question :)

As always, thank you so much for your continued support, and for all of your kind words! This project has gone from a troubled past stumbling forward from sheer willpower into something that just flows with ease that I am actually eager to work with, instead of feeling like I work against it. I hope you'll enjoy the finished product, even with all these darn delays!

Take care of yourselves, and each other!

great to hear it! Is there an estimated release date of LoTW 2 yet?

sfmdh

That is heavily dependent on how well the adaptation of the model goes as well as the re-animation of the scenes in question! So far so good, but it makes it very difficult to gauge an exact release date. I hope to be able to approximate that much better this coming Friday, if I am given leniency by my job to actually work on this stuff :)
