Progress Report, 31/05 - 19 (Patreon)

Fridays are for nursing headaches, valiantly working in SFM to get things fixed up, and providing a brief but not entirely uninteresting progress report!

The past week has primarily been me poking away at the script while properly diving into the, to me, previously unknown scene of voice actor haven. Having finalized the script, with a small teaser above, I can safely say that we're doing this in such a professional manner that I'm a bit at a loss at what to do next other than to follow where this crazy train goes.

Lizzie is being a huge help when it comes to the voice acting scene, and we've already settled on a price as well as exchanged the voice line material for her lovely Liara performance - just a matter of waiting on Patreon to send the necessary paypal cash so she can get to work. In the meantime, she's begun recommending other voice actors (as some of my backers have) such as Oolay-Tiger for Miranda's performance, but as I am still getting samples rolling in from them I'm withholding judgement - not specifically because I think someone can nail the Australian accent better than Oolay, but because I honestly would love to give the job to lesser known voice actors as there are plenty of struggling ones in the scene. The same idea applies before I turn to Ivan of LordAardvark fame, though his Yahg performance is a safe bet in the end :)

As with all things, we're moving forward. Weekend is looking fairly open for me to finalize something more ambitious as well for the Monday loop, so look forward to that :)

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for all of your kind words! Here's hoping the summer won't be too brutal on us unaccustomed to the heat, but if spring is anything to go by, we're in for a tough time. Next paycheck, I reckon I'll be stocking up on fans, both for home and work :)
