Another Friday, another progress report! Let's keep it short but sweet!
Lady of the Woods 2 is seeing good, solid scene posing being made, with the introduction scene partially animated. The fiends in question now appear much more well-adjusted for the task ahead and, while the minotaur appears to take on a super-sweaty sheen no matter the lighting, I think they fit way better than the previous ones. Besides, he's bound to work up a sweat considering what he's about to do with Lulu. Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll!
I've also been stripping, cutting and re-arranging Project Synthesis and have come to the regrettable conclusion that it cannot be made as a large, functional project because of the innate limitations of the Source Filmmaker engine. As mentioned in the previous PR: with the amount of models in play, the meager RAM usage the program can handle quickly spikes (particularly if the models are headhacked) and inevitably begins to crash - even with very little animation and nothing radical done to jigglebones etc. I've butted my head against this for literally weeks now, coming back to it again and again and seeking help in both SFM discords and on forums, but have to now admit defeat. Having several session files quickly becomes unmanageable as well due to how difficult it is to achieve some manner of continuity for larger scenes with them.
As such, I'm re-thinking my approach and trying to distill what people want most out of this work into smaller parts, with the more popular ones probably being worked on firsthand. Lady trios or duos are much more likely to be manageable, so I might find myself back at where I started in terms of Alien DNA style material. Synthesis still lives, but it'll come in another form than initially considered. More on this in the near future.
"Parnack" has faced some standstill as of late, but seeing as Liara's initial scene in it is animated, I am still on board with making it something of a naughty short. These kind of shorts, I hope, will serve as nice content in between major releases such as the latest Resident Evil video.
Also, a singular commission remains to be made, so look towards the weekend for potential slots opening.
