Progress Report, 11/5 - 18 (Patreon)

Progress report is a-go! Prepare for a wall of text with what's in the works :)

Project Synthesis is making strides! Above is the initial intro scene for a project that will incorporate as many of the Mass Effect ladies as I can get my hands on. As you might have noticed, Chakwas and Kelly Chambers above have gotten some upgrades since you last saw them, but nothing too extravagant (as voted over on discord). Still, I have tested these "base" bodies a kind stranger was awesome enough to send me for bodyhack purposes, and bloody hell they are diverse, and those bits can jiggle well.

I actually wanted to make this scene even bigger, but due to SFMs memory limitations it's sadly impossible with the scene build around it. SFM can only work with 3-4gb memory, which makes my 16gb rig sad and impotent-feeling, and any attempts to push beyond that, such as adding another model, will crash the program. After fighting the program for hours in a desperate attempt to squeeze one more couple in there, I admitted defeat and, instead, I've decided to compartmentalize the whole thing, so that once scene 1 draws to a close, or we temporarily move on with the camera, there will be another huge gang with more ladies and dirty fellas waiting to perform :)

Posing for scene 1 is pretty much done, as you can see, and it awaits animation. I'm drawing up the script for scene 2 and what it will feature in a separate document, as to be ready to pose it once it comes down to it. The past week has mainly been spent learning how to do passable headhacks, as well as some basic override material and skin work. As it looks I am currently unable to properly fit, for instance, Aria or Samara onto these bodies as their respective skin tones are very different and probably would require some artistic ability to create separate skins for - which I might be willing to look into. That said, for this project I'm considering simply headhacking Aria, Samara and perhaps even Benezia onto Liara's amazing body, although I'm afraid they might start to look a bit same-y. Still, it's worth a shot once their scene comes around, and perhaps people will be happy with the results either way. I'll be sure to get a poll going if it seems contentious in the least, as to let the community decide.

I also hope you'll like the theme for Scene 2. It'll be quite... Cerberusy :)

As always, thank you so much for your continued support and for all of your kind words! With the function of headhacking at my disposal, my work becomes capable of much more interesting things. I've even been entertaining the idea of some more lore-based smut work, a lot of "what if" scenarios and what have you. We'll see how things turn out, but for now, the future looks interesting and bright! :)
