Nexus is up next for this month's update. I'm adding the start of his quest, but sadly it will only be 1 step. The 2nd step of his quest will be the no-turning-back point. I rather dedicate an entire update to adding the rest his quest for the sake of quality. Same for the other LIs. There will be at least 1 new Nexus scene, though, possibly more. The obligatory new outfit will be given during step 2 of his quest and thus won't make it into this release unfortunately.
I really just want to finish up the cyborg scenes. Most of this month's development time is being dedicated to that. I plan on going back and adjusting the image cycling speed on some of these scenes as well. I've noticed that some of the pseudo-animations look pretty bad due to the fade effect used to cycle the images. I'll try to reduce that. As it stands currently, most of the scenes have been created and rendered. There's some previews on Discord. I'll still need to add them all to the game later this month once I finish up rendering the last few.
Hair customization is currently winning in the poll here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/gnb-main-poll-75981706 Be sure to vote if you haven't. That poll will be closed soon. Helga is in the lead for February's bonus image right now. Patrons be sure to vote on that poll here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/poll-februarys-76622839 This one is ending on January 21st and the bonus image will be posted on February 1st.
I'm aware that the past few updates haven't been very big on content. This should be final update for a while involving the more tedious stuff. After this I'll be adding the LIs' quests and endings. I'll throw in some scenes with them as well when I can. Beyond that, there's the other endings. They should be relatively quick and simple to add since they don't involve other characters. Then there's the character customization and about a dozen other minor things I have on my list.
It's still several updates away, but the end of the development of GnB is approaching. GnB was never meant to be much more than a placeholder really, just something for me to work on until I could return to SC. Your support has been fantastic, though. Thank you!
Personally, I think GnB is a hectic mess. Considering my working conditions at the start of the game, that's no real surprise. I've made adjustments based on your feedback, included things you have requested, let you help direct the course of GnB's development, and so on. All of this, I'm grateful for. Your feedback is much appreciated. Despite all of that, I think GnB could be better, especially if I had started it when working conditions weren't as plagued by stress and other things. So.. I'm going to make a suggestion. Let me know what you think:
First I'll finish up all of the content for GnB and release v1.0 as the "final" version. Then I'll go back and give the game a good once over, making adjustments where needed. In addition, I'll add a tiny extra bit of content. This extra polish and bonus content will release as v1.1 when it is ready. That most likely will take longer than a month. On the release of v1.1 to Patreon, I'll release v1.0 (the "final" version) to the public. Then I'm thinking of releasing v1.1 on Steam and Itchio at a fixed price. If I do this, v1.1 will have to remain as a paid option only. I won't be able to release it for free like everything else up to that point. Patrons will still get everything as per usual at the normal tiers, GnB will get the polish I think it deserves, and I will get that extra exposure by putting the game on other markets.
Is this something you find reasonable? Do you have questions? Feel free to message me. One thing I am aware of is that I will be able to generate Itchio keys and give those to Patrons. So if you donate through Patreon at the $5 tier or higher, I can give you the game on Itchio as well. Not sure how that works for Steam, so no promises there. If all of this is simply something you do not want to see, I'll toss the whole idea, stop GnB at v1.0, and return to SC sooner instead. Your opinion matters, especially when money is involved. That's why I'm bringing it up now rather than springing it on you without warning. Anyways, message me if you want to discuss this further.
Thank you as always! Don't forget to vote in the latest polls!
