News: September 2022 (Patreon)

First of all, you might have noticed the banner change on my Patreon page. I made something quick and simple to replace the SC banner for now. I figure most new people visiting my page are there for GnB, see the SC banner, and get confused. That was the purpose for the banner change. Don't worry, I plan to return to SC when GnB is complete. (And I have some big plans.)

Now on to the GnB news. This update will mainly focus on the relationship aspect with Echo. Most of the romance features are already completed. Most of what's left is just the visuals. I'll be focusing on that for the rest of the month. I don't know how many of Echo's scenes will be added, but they will all be in the game eventually.

Speaking of Echo's scenes, the kissing scene has had a visual update. There's an actual animation now. It might not be very high quality. I'm still learning. You can see a preview on Discord. I want to make all of the romance characters' scenes have actual animations, not the alternating of a few images like other scenes are now. I don't plan on updating those other scenes with full animation, though.

This update is mainly focused on Echo's romance path, but the other romance characters will receive their romance options very soon. Since it won't be possible to add every scene in 1 month's time (there's a lot of scenes planned), I'll have to slowly add missing scenes over time. The goal is to have every romance option functional with every romance character, then add a few scenes each update.

Eventually the various ending paths will become available as you increase relations with the romance characters. That won't be in this update. I'll be sure to include the "no turning back point" warning when they are added. There will be at least one ending path requiring no romance character.

There's only a few other minor things planned for this update. They'll be in the change-log. I'll mainly be adding as many of Echo's new scenes as possible for the rest of the month since the majority of the romance options are done. There's always room to add more options than I have planned. I want to complete the initial options before adding more, though.

One final thing, main quest updates will resume once the romance stuff is done. Several endings will be achieved through completing romance character quests, so romance building needs to exist first.
