I fixed some minor stuff so I figured I'd reupload touchups.

So these "womb tattoos" (Inmon or 淫紋)... I've been doing a lot of research on them and I can't seem to find their origin. Do you happen to know anything about that Cora? The most I've found was they have a vaguely Egyptian background.

I don't see any convincing evidence of a tradition that would be possible to trace back to any singular origin. I think the truth is far simpler. People like to get tattoos, and sometimes those tattoos are naughty. Of course the Inmon is loaded with metaphorical imagery and eastern cultural cues, but since when did people get a tattoo that, like, didn't symbolize, like, how my pussy is evil and totally needs to be warded for your protection, ahue. So yeah, I've looked at it. There was a /d/ thread awhile ago where literally dozens of people tried to find their origin for a week straight and came up with nothing. The cool thing about that is that it's more recent than we realize and we're the ones that made it a thing.
