Most of you will probably be aware of the new changes EA has made to making and distributing mods/cc. After reading what many other creators are going through and their decisions I have decided that I will keep the early access model that I currently have until EA have a clearer say on whether or not it is allowed. Of course, if they declare we can no longer use early access I will make all my cc free to public on release.

~ a bit of babble you don't need to read ~

As with many other creators, this has been an extremely stressful time as we have been left with uncertainty on the future of our income. We are also hearing many simmers opinions on the matter (some of which are quite hurtful, a lot of us are not money hungry goblins ~ we are just trying to make a living). As one of the simmers who heavily relies on the income I make from making cc/mods this has left my financial situation hanging in the balance. I use this money to support my family. I am a stay at home mum and this money helps pay the bills and put food on the table.

I really hope the community can see both sides and not view all content creators as the villain in this situation. A lot of us rely on this income. Through my time being a creator a lot has changed of my situation. Making cc started out as a small time hobby. Then I was employed as a carer working through the pandemic. To then becoming pregnant and was fortunate enough to make a decision to leave my employment to continue working from home making cc. Some will say it was a silly choice to commit to making cc as a form of income but it was a choice I didn't make lightly. My job was low paying and I was working with people who had covid. It was a horrible experience. I made the safer choice in that moment for me and my family.

This isn't intending to be a pity post, just hopefully help some simmers to see that for some creators this is a job as well as a hobby. And that these little creations for a game that might not mean a lot to some, actually mean a lot more to others.

If you read this far, thank you and I hope you still view me in a good light after my decision to keep the early access. Of course, if EA formally declare no early access I will make everything public on release. I just can't say for now how my situation will be for that.

Thank you to every single one of my patrons - current, past and future. You have honestly had such a positive impact on my life, probably more so than you could imagine ❤️
