Now that I have updated the olde cookbook I will be making my way through all of grannies recipes... but before I do I wanted to do a poll to see what everyone would prefer.

If any of you have played with my olde cookbook kit you will be familiar with how the recipes work (semi-realistic ingredient amounts). So that leads me to the poll.

Would you prefer I adjust each recipe to include ingredients even without the lot trait activated? So you can optionally use them?

OR

Would you prefer to keep the more realistic recipe requirements to when the lot trait is activated?

- - - - - - - - -

Eg.

Pancakes - flour, eggs, milk, strawberries (lot trait activated and no lot trait but still optional)

OR

Pancakes - strawberries (no lot trait, optional)

- - - - -

πŸ“ Just to note - prices for recipes won't be as high as they are in the olde cookbook kit! I will keep them similar to how they are now.

Would they be compatible with the SCCO ingredients too?

Question: I'm not sure how the mods are built exactly, but do you think it'd be possible to have sims cook longer like if they could cook a feast for a special occasion so it's almost an all day affair? I think it'd be great especially now that families can cook together. So for the holidays, espially fo those of us to era gameplay kitchen staff could be cooking all day and after 1hr of player designated start time a plate of breakfast pops up then, after 5hrs later a Entree pops up (could be randomized or player chosen if you're able to allow it), then 6hrs later the dinner entree pops up and the staff is OFF for the rest of the day? So, like instead of being a maid or butler the home cook(s) start there day around 4am. They prep and cook main house breakfast and staff breakfast; staff eat 1st at 5:30 or 6am and after kitchen staff have been cooking/prepping for 1hr a bowl of porridge pops up for the staff to eat. Then kitchen staff continue to do cooking animations after eating w/ other house staff then at 7am a plate of grand breakfast pops up for the household to eat (player will need to place it outside on main area where household eats since food cannot be served unless in a restaurant (or...if you know how to do that then that'd be AMAZING to have the butler serve the food). The butler or mai(s) will need to be player directed to gather the dishes then clean them. the kitchen staff should continuously keep doing random cooking animations all day. At 12pm a plate of an entree pops up and the process from breakfast will repeat while the kitchen staff continuously cook. Then at 6pm dinner is served as a grand meal or something and then at 9pm the staff get a plate popup of some basic stuff for dinner. Does ANY of this sound possible in the slightest? Basically I want kitchen staff in a house to cook endlessly like the staff at a restaurant. lol

Hi 😊 I hope your doing good.. I was wondering with the new Zoomies delivery added in game if you could add your food to the food delivery..EA only added a little amount of foods for delivery and it would be great to have more options..if you don’t want to it’s okay 😊

If they have the cottage living tags (which i'm sure srlsy will add as well as her own) then yes, they should be!

Trust me when I say I would LOVE to do this, i'm sure something is possible using the chef from dine out but that is probably waayy beyond my capabilities.. hopefully one day! I can maybe have a little look into how the chef works when I get some free time but at the moment there is just so much on my plate that there isn't time for experimenting πŸ˜”

I'll take a peak at how they have done it and see if it is something I can do 😊

Will your recipes work without custom food interaction mod

Anonymous

I see a lot of people may prefer the former, Can you do both versions, because honestly, I would like to keep them the same. That may be asking for too much.

littlbowbub

They don't require the custom food interaction mod, so they will work fine πŸ™‚

I will probably only do the 1 version as I already have a lot of editing to do with each recipe, but I will keep the costs similar with eas so that even if you don't have the ingredients your sims wont go poor trying to cook a meal πŸ™‚
