i flew over tokyo (Patreon)

One the the best parts of our video project is people we meet as a result of it. Yesterday I had the chance to meet a couple who is flying *around the planet* in a small two engine plane over the course of 9 months. N.Ameria, Europe, Africa, Aus & NZ, Polynesia, Asia -> (soon) home

So on Wednesday they flew into a tiny airport north of Tokyo and they took me up in the plane for a flight over Tokyo! It's WILD to see the city from above, but not from the height an airliner is at. He was able to dip us down astonishingly close to buildings, *below* the level of the Skytree and amazingly close to our old home

This plane is small as in they have a freaking fuel bladder in the back seat so they can fly ~13 hours to cross oceans. They have an IG, but haven't updated it in months. It's worth a peek into the maps in the pinned stories and I'm hoping it'll get a big update once they are home and have time to parse all the photos and videos, a pain we know all too well haha. As amazing as the flight was meeting them and hearing about their trip was a huge highlight. I love meeting people on outlandish adventures like this.
