First up, very good chance this video is boring. It's not meant to be an "official Kyde&Eric" video at all, so if you don't watch it or watch 2 min and stop totally understood haha. In that spirit be assured it's not being "billed" as a Patreon video either.

Ok, with that out of the way: we got a new mic a while ago and whenever I get new gear I spend some time doing a bunch of tests with it to learn how to use it properly and how it will behave in different situations. So with this new microphone I put it through it's paces and decided to make my tests public because there were so few out there and literally none comparing it to our old microphone. I figured I'd share it here for the morbidly curious, but really....this is 45 minutes of microphone tests, it's not going to win any awards.

Been using that ECM-XYST1M for years and like it. Upgraded to an ECM-B1M via Sony Rewards program and needed to see how it works with all it's quirks and features. Thought I'd bring the world along.
