I hope to get her a proper camera instead, haha. Gopro rolled out an update that helped on...some of the problems. It still doesn't like to charge reliably and shuts itself off when its recording. It's a mess. But anyways, yea, I really wish Sony would do a decent upgrade to their old DSC-HX__ line of cameras because I want another tiny camera with super zoom in it. It could double as a camera for Kyde to use on things like this. Dunno if they will bother with that market anymore though. -E

In that case, you might want to look at the Osmo Action. I've seen comparison videos and it seems pretty comparable to the gopro, much less cost and much more reliable. Grab the extension rod holder as well for an extra $49 and for about $300, you be all set. It would be a good back up too for when your gopro is having one of it's tantrums :D

Yea, I had compared the two when I got the gopro and may have gone that way if people had mentioned how incredibly unreliable the gopro is. At this point I don't want more gear to haul around, with different batteries and more memory cards to keep backed-up, etc. It's already becoming a bit much with our main cam, our pocket cam for zoom, two phones and the gopro. Haha. -E
