What complicates the chikan (pervert) problem is that there are no anti-stalker laws in Japan. If a woman goes to the police about a guy following her around, the police comment about the way she is dressed and "you're so pretty; no wonder he's following you. You can't fault him for that." It's not hard to do a search on YT about gaijin women claiming that Japan is not that safe for them and give examples why. Japanese people are raised to be non-confrontational, so the chikans take advantage of this and of the timidity of Japanese women.

You mentioned that you've started putting music in your videos again, but I didn't realise it was your own material (rather than older music from the band you were in). What equipment/software are you using to create your music?

Yea, I have heard about situations where police are less than helpful, but neither of us have experienced it first hand. Thankfully we haven't needed help in dangerous situations. -E

It's mostly from a guitar pedalboard I put together over the past couple of years. I keep meaning to make a video about it on my personal channel because it's a fairly unique build as it lets me play a guitar but output drums, bass and guitar sounds and into a series of looper devices.
