Why Foreigners Have Difficulty Renting in Japan

2019 was also the 10th year of us making "travel" videos on Youtube, and one where our channel earned it's 50,000 subscriber; a number we don't think about often but are shocked when we do. Our very first video was just a simple first & last livestream we made testing the camera on our laptop from Costa Rica on Sept 1, 2009, which happened to be the first day of our round-the-world trip. You can see the video here if you are curious, but it couldn't be less interesting. You'll see why we didn't keep doing live streams on the road: 2009 developing nation internet couldn't do it hahaha.

But that little idea to send videos to our friends spun into what we have here now, and is still alive due to everyone's help here on Patreon. For that we thank you greatly and are excited for 2020 and beyond!

Did you find any specific videos or series to be your favorite in 2019? I think the Shikoku series in general was my favorite to film and edit, Kyde says the moments that stick out to her are the onsen she went to in Matsuyama, seeing Sakurajima erupt, visiting the Goto islands in Nagasaki and the sand-bath she took in Nagasaki. "That sand bath was the best tourist thing I've ever done in Japan!"

As always, your enthusiasm to explore the world with us is endlessly exciting.
Thank you.

Great job on all the videos this year! I think one of the moments that sticks out for me was when you were hunting for mascots in Kochi. I cracked up listening to Eric describe how the police reacted to him walking in asking where to find the mascot. Haha. Keep it going in 2020, guys!
