Wow! you guys went to Greece too? I thought Croatia was the last stop on the Euro trip.

Yep, just spent a little time in Athens though, it wasn't a proper exploration of Greece. -E

It sort of seems like the Kyoto of Croatia....the way you describe the city is how I felt in Kyoto, especially since we, like you, went to the big touristy city after being in the less-traveled place first (we were in Kyushu first). In both cities, its amazing what people do to avoid stairs =) reminds me of the top of fushimi inari...so few people climb to the top which is very odd to me! Love seeing you guys in Dubrovnik because it gives me hope that if I ever went there, I could find little quite spots and moments just like you did...by climbing some stairs.

more thoughts because it is interesting when you think about it. Venice has always been a big draw whereas most of the world has just been learning about Dubrovnik in the last handful of years so while other touristy places like Venice have had a long time to figure all this our, Dubrovnik has had to try and figure a lot out very very very quickly so there will be some bumps....curious how things will be 5 years, 10 years, 20 years after GoT is off the air.
