K&E Discord Server! (Patreon)

I made a Discord server for people who follow our video project! "What is Discord?" I can hear about 75% of you asking, haha. It's essentially a free chatroom platform that was initially for people playing video games to communicate via, but has turned into a more general interests type of platform. Each server can have multiple "channels" that are usually tied to a topic or theme. In our case I have channels for newest video discussion, Travel, Japan, and a few others.

I personally use Discord to stay connected with some friends back in The States and follow a few hobbies through it too. There is a web-login, mobile app, and a desktop app. I personally use the Android app and the web-login and it's all really solid.

I think it would be awesome to build a bit more of a community around the people who enjoy or video series. Current platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, even the social aspect of Patreon) are very much a direct link to us and back to you guys, but I have a dream that it could be more of a pool where everyone is hanging out together and sharing ideas, things you find interesting, your own adventures, other creators you enjoy, etc. Basically, it'd be nice to build a more social community. Maybe Discord is the way to do it? Anyways, I figured it'd be a fun thing to give a go to.

So right now I've only announced it to you guys here at Patreon and a couple of personal friends who helped me test things. Eventually I will launch it publicly, probably sometime next week when I have time to make sure everything is smooth.

A neat aspect is Patreon has integration with Discord, so if you support us here and link your Discord account to your Patreon account it will give you access to our "Patron Only" channel on the Discord server.

Once linked our Server should appear in the server list to the left of the screen and should grant you permission to the "Patreon Channel."

(If you already have your Discord account linked to your Patreon account you should already have been automagically added to our server, by the way.)
