All of my Airbnb's for Japan got cancelled. But it was a blessing in disguise. I got the refund, and then the credits from Airbnb, so I cancelled all of my hotels in Thailand, re-booked for free using the credits on Airbnb and was able to book some cheap hotels in Japan. It saved me hundreds of dollars!
