October was a ton of fun! We got to spend time with our friend Tom which is something we've been looking forward to for a long time. It's always so fun to see Japan through the eyes of friends from back home, it's like getting to be here again for the first time again. Here are the videos we put out this month in case you missed any!

Japanese Coin Locker Vegetable Stand!

Japan's Coca-Cola Coffee Plus!

Borneo! | Exploring Kota Kinabalu!

Kagaya: Tokyo's Froggiest Izakaya!

And we are in Yummy Japan's Kagaya video too

This month had a different feel than most as we shot two videos with friends instead of shooting alone, which is something we are always nervous of to a certain degree, but it went really well! I think my favorite moment from this month was the fact that Tom caught Kyde's phone flying off the bridge in the Coca-Cola video, hahaha.

But as far as my favorite video from October...it might be controversial but I really enjoyed the Kagaya video we made. It was a fun night with friends and despite how totally insane it seemed the actual atmosphere of the room was wonderful. Mark (the host) has perfected his craft, and while a lot of the feedback we got was people saying they are too introverted to cope with such a place we are convinced Mark is an excellent judge of who is introverted and who is extroverted and adjusts his act accordingly. I normally don't dig shock humor, but he has done such a wonderful job crafting his act I quite respect him. Anyways, the editing process for that video was also unique for me as I was using a lot of footage shot by Charles, which changed a lot of how I do things in post-production. I love having the opportunity to do challenge myself by learning how to edit things in new ways and hope it can help us make better videos in the future. In fact, as a result of playing with his footage I'm seriously looking into a camera upgrade soon, but haven't found exactly the right camera yet. I've got my eye on the Canon M6, but haven't quite decided on it for sure yet. Does anyone have any input on it?

What was your favorite video or moments from October?

::Videos on their way::

This week I will be editing what I think will be the final Hong Kong video, hopefully ready for next week!

I hope to have the first part of the Ibaraki video series your way later in November.

Last Wednesday we finally shot a DisneySea video! It was an *incredible* day and I'm really excited to get it edited for you guys!

We also shot a 3 day weekend in Tochigi over the weekend, and let me just say: Alpacas.

And of course....Europe is on the way!

Should check out canon t3i, older camera but can get it fairly cheap. Very good documentary quality footage. If you're looking for something smaller than dslr, look into black magic pocket camera.

I actually just ordered a Canon m6 and a stack of lenses. It's not perfect, but it's close to perfect and I found a shockingly good deal on it. Thanks for the tips though!
