Here are a few full-resolution photos from that day I saw a wild bear while exploring beautiful Shiretoko National Park.

As always you can click on them to open a gallery with a bit of commentary under each photo.

More on the way soon! Thanks as always.

The...unfortunate rider house on a clear morning.
Killer views on clear days of the local volcanoes.
This guy is...keeping...something? at bay...I assume?
I guess the bears take Monday off?
The hike around the park's lakes is pretty amazing.
Perfectly flat as glass water makes for nice pictures.
The road up to the tip isn't ready for me and scooty, apparently. Too many bears!
Where you can find naked dudes in the forest, but not in a sketchy way haha.
Bear! I was a bit bummed I didn't have a proper zoom lens with me as it didn't fit in scooty for the trip, so these are shots with my phone.
Watching this bear do his bear business was unreal, I still can't believe I saw this in real life.
Never saw him catch a fish, but damn if he didn't do his best.
I did see him stand on a rock though!
I stared at the "do-co co co" confused for longer than I'd like to admit. What they mean is どこここ?知床! (where is this? Shiretoko!)
Time-lapsing the clouds over the peak.
Rausu being a bit ambitious with the local bird.
This is more likely who you'll find haha.
Basically what I was up to the entire month.
Scooty at the end of the road in Hokkaido.
Bears tricking people into thinking they have reached the very northern eastern bit.
When you see roads like this on the map it's going to be fun.
Scooty in the golden hour! Love these shots.
Bye, sun.
Is this what bread is like in England? Thicc as all get out?
Good maths and a warning to be aware of deer. I dig the art.

The closeup of the bear with your phone was pretty good!
