Hi everyone, and welcome to the Anime Boxing League! For those of you who are new here, this is a physics-based female boxing simulator. Please keep in mind that everything in this post is subject to change over time as I learn more about what I'm doing.

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone for the awesome support and I hope everyone is enjoying what I have developed so far. I finally have some time to sit down and think about my objectives, goals, and vision for the future of this project - and what to expect from being a supporter on my patreon.

My vision for this project is to create boxing simulation, full of interesting interactions between the two boxers with no cutscenes (for instance, in most boxing games, the getting up part after a knockout will be a cutscene and usually the boxer is teleported to a predefined location and it just doesn't look realistic) with intelligent AI that seems somewhat realistic. Because this is not a "game", I'm not concerned about balance or fair gameplay mechanics, which is a rule most boxing games nowadays have to abide by (because of multiplayer).  So because I'm not interested in balance, there is a lot of artistic freedom I get to have in making the fight interesting and developing smart AI.

That being said, I know a lot of you would like this to become a game, so eventually, I will implement some playability. Until then, I will be focusing on making the AI do interesting things without considering player balance. Turning it into a game will be my final goal when I'm done developing the AI, so this won't be for a very long time.

My short term goal (for the next few months) is to simulate a full match, 10 rounds of boxing with interesting interactions that you don't usually get to see in boxing games. Once I have achieved a level of product I am happy with, I plan to turn this Patreon page into a "Boxing League". Supporters will get 2 videos a month, once every 2 weeks, featuring full 10-round fights (of about 20-30 mins) with characters that have different stats, backgrounds, and stories. I want every fight to be unique and different.
Supporters will also get to vote on which girls will fight each month and their activities that influence their stats. And this is just the start. I will continue developing this project over time and continue adding cool stuff and giving the supporters opportunities to feel engaged in the league and actually care about the characters.

Here is a more detailed roadmap for the coming months:

*** This simulator will first launch with features including (but not limited to): ***

- Everything you've seen so far on my twitter/patreon

- Clinching (I know this one is a big one, and because everything is physics-based, I'm still thinking how to accomplish this properly)

- Different types of knockouts

- Facial expressions

- Visible body damage and bruises over the course of the fight

- Interactions when fighting against the ropes / corners

- Breaks in between rounds

- Mouthguards

- More characters and clothes

- Different boxers will have different stats that are based on their personalities/backgrounds like:
> Takes more damage to the stomach
> Starts with higher stamina but recovers less stamina after KO
> Faster reaction speed for dodging punches do less damage
> etc.

- Topless boxing

***Medium term roadmap: ***

- Collab with female boxing content creators and possibly get permission to put their characters in this boxing league

________________________________________

*** Long term roadmap: ***

- Replay system like knockout replay from different angles

- Between-Rounds break interactions between boxers and their corner people

- Different boxing ring settings, like beach, forest, gym, etc.

- Fun modes like a tiny boxing ring, water in ring

- Refactor my assets and release the simulator version

FAQ:

Will there be a version released for the simulator so that I can run the simulator on my own?
- I will eventually, but as I mentioned before, I will need to handle asset / copyright stuff as well as optimization. So this won't be for a while.

Will there be continuous development during/after the sim is released on patreon or as a game?
- Yes, I will continuously work on this simulator for the foreseeable future

Can I request stuff?
- I currently do not have the capacity to cater to any specific requests for this simulator, but I will try to cover most things that people would like to see and aligns with my vision of this boxing league.

- There will be limited upper-tiers where I will design characters for you and you will get to use them

Thank you all for your interest and for your support - I will continue pushing out videos every once in a while during development.

Special thank you to my current patreon supporters - It is greatly appreciated!
20% of all proceeds I make here on Patreon will be donated to local animal shelters. If you know any cool charities that are worth looking into, let me know. I love animals and female boxing. Thank you for listening!

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out!

btw i highly agree with not making it "a game", a lot of the boxing simulators try and make it a game so theres compromises in how fluid things go cause you need to control the avatars. would love for this just to be a watch sim

Oh yes let me clarify - this will never be “turned” into a game, it’ll just have the ability to be player controlled on top of being a sim.

Just discovered your page. This looks amazing! What you've done so far looks great. I especially love the realistic ragdoll based physics. suprisingly not many fighting games/sims have ragdolls, when your product here is a pure example of how well they can be implemented to make it look convincing. Looking forward to when you release this as a playable sim. Keep up the great work!

I’m glad you’re liking the ragdolls! Most development time has actually gone to playing around with the ragdoll physics, and I will still continue to experiment

Just pledged, the simulator is looking great!! If you're taking suggestions I have an idea for your bucket list or long-term: Different body types or muscle maps that get applied depending on the fighters stats. So basically a fighter that has a lot of body durability might get more visible abs, or high strength/stamina making them slightly bulkier. Nothing extreme, just enough to differentiate a boxer with high stats vs one that hasn't trained/doesn't have good stats
