September Update: (Patreon)

Hello folks!

For literally years, I've joked around about "haha wouldn't it be funny if I did a video that was a tribute to Hollywood Montrose from the Mannequin movies," and then just recently I started looking into the character and you know what? HE'S FASCINATING. So here we are. My salute to Hollywood comes out this Sunday! 

But that's just a little sliver of the silliness I've been working on for you. Thanks to your lovely support, I've been able to put out two (sometimes three!) videos a month, and it's been a real hoot to dive deep into these recent topics. 

Here's a quick rundown of everything you made possible in August, and what to expect in September!

New Videos! August's videos touched on the evolution of TV gay bars, from Starsky & Hutch's sweaty dive to Murder She Wrote's pink flamingos; and also on M*A*S*H and the history of gays in the military.

Bonus Videos! Patreons at $2+ get exclusive bonus videos with all the fun stories that I don't have room for in the main videos. Recent topics include George Washington's underwear parties, ancient Greek armies of gay lovers, Angela Lansbury's intersection with the Manson Family (!), and the adorable homoeroticism of the 70s.

Upcoming videos! I can't tell you how excited I am to unveil my Hollywood Montrose video this weekend! Also in the works: I'm deep in the research phase on Buffy, Vincent Price, and Soap. Oh and I've got some Xena reading queued up!

Sewers of Paris! I spoke to some truly fabulous queer-creative guests last month for the Sewers of Paris podcast -- Fran Tirado of the Food 4 Thot podcast, José of Ketchup with Max and José, and Jeffrey Masters from LGBTQ&A. Coming up next is a chat with Illusory Wall, a YouTuber obsessed with Dark Souls.

Shirts! Okay, this started as a joke and it's kind of taken on a life of its own? I've got a little tshirt shop going with designs based on historical queer protest slogans, and I just added a new design based on a YouTube comment that referred to me as an "expired bottom." Enjoy!
