March Update: Adding More Livestreams! (Patreon)

Hello friends!

Well here we are in almost-spring, when everyone's hearts turn to fancy. That's a nice way of saying that it's the season when even under normal conditions we're climbing the walls in frustration, eager to charge out into the world and throw off our winter-things and go a bit zany. But now, a year into this strange alone-time and with a possible end in sight, the drive to be wild and free feels like a champagne cork with enough pressure behind it that when released it'll blast into orbit. If you follow my meaning.

Anyway, I was going to start this little monthly update with a few words about sitcom history, but for some reason I felt compelled to start waxing on about moods and seasons -- probably because that's been so frequently a topic lately in our livestreams, both on YouTube (now every Saturday) and Twitch (now every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5pm). I can't tell you how much I appreciate those times together -- it means so much that we can gather together, chat a little about our silly entertainment preoccupations, and blow off a little steam. 

But of course those livestreams are just a small slice of everything that you make possible with your support! Here's some more stuff that you can look forward to in the giddy month of March:

• YouTube videos! I just published a video about how the show Bewitched managed to be queer without ever saying the word "queer" --- and  of course, in case you missed it, there was also last month's video about why the 1970s in San Francisco may have been the most exciting time in history to come out. Patrons at $10+ get early ad-free access.
• The Sewers of Paris! Recent episodes of the podcast include two marvelous livestreamers, Jygglypuffdaddy and Urban Bohemian, as well a Valentine's Day special all about love. 
• Livestreams! I've added more streams! On YouTube, I'm now streaming every Saturday at 11am. We start with a theme and then dive into some old news archives to find weird, surprising, and funny articles, just as the image attached above. Click the bell here to get a reminder when the next one goes live. 
• Twitch streams! Now at a new time, 5pm Pacific every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Sometimes we chat, sometime we play games, and sometimes we spend a few hours watching goofy old TV theme songs together. It's a real hoot. For the month of March I'm theming my game streams around classic adventures like Space Quest and Sam & Max.
• Cozy Pants! A podcast for Patreon backers! Join me and my partner James for a fun affectionate chat about the cultural comforts that are lighting up our lives.
