This week, we're pondering the strange sexiness of the movie Onward. How did Pixar manage to make a Dreamworks movie? We also have a full-throated recommendation for the show Beastars, but don't leave that throat too exposed because you never know who might want to bite it. And Tyra has some strange culinary practices, can you believe that?

Billy (aka siatabiri)

Please tell me you've watched Tyra's interview with Lilly Singh. It's up on YouTube and apparently when Lilly said that the Merriam-Webster dictionary does not recognize "Smize" as a word, Tyra gave a speech to go out to miss Miriam Webster to get this addressed. It seemed unironic when she said "Miss Miriam!" at the end of it.

Capybaras seem a little too social for James, but their love of baths does make them a good match for him.

Wow, so much mind melding with this episode! I, too, felt deeply piqued yet perturbed by the many horny, sensual moments involving the thicc older brother and/or the handsome bottom-half daddy in Onward. How could the creators of Onward not notice this?! It's like we gays are seeing the truths of a dimension the straights are a part of but not aware of. If that makes sense. That quick aside at the end about Louisianna Purchase is something I've been thinking about since seeing that Dragula season ages ago! She's an interesting queen but why would you want to name yourself after something directly tied to the genocide of Native Americans. Especially as a white queen. Yeesh. Yikes. Yargh.

P.S. It's very fun to hear Matt's wonderfully lascivious interpretations of James's wardrobe choices and James's joyful incredulity at Matt's descriptions.
