September Update: Here's to a Fabulous Fall (Patreon)

My apologies for sending this month's update so late! It's been a real whirlwind of production over here, but (some of) the dust is settling and I've got some great stuff in the works that I think you'll love. For example:

• Livestreams! Come say hello, share your recommendations for stuff to watch, and make friends in the chat! I love getting your entertainment suggestions & can't wait to talk about all of the queer entertainment that’s lighting up your life. On our last livestream, the cast of Queens of Adventure put me in drag (!!!) and the next livestream is happening on September 21 at 10am Pacific. • The Sewers of Paris! Each week on the podcast, a guest plucks a piece of entertainment from their past -- books, movies, music, shows, and more -- and answers the question: how did it change your life? Recent highlights include shirtless violinist Matt Olshefski, comedian and nerd Christopher Smith Bryant, and drag creature Old Witch. 
• Culture Cruise! All backers get early ad-free access to Culture Cruise videos, taking a deep dive on queer content in the entertainment we love. I'm working on a script about Frasier right now and I'm super excited for it -- that show has so many queer-culture connections that need to be explored! Please send me any gay Frasier memories you might have.
• Cozy Pants! A podcast for Patreon backers at $4/month and up! Join me and my partner James for a fun affectionate chat about the cultural comforts that are lighting up our lives. Lately we've been obsessed with The Dark Crystal, Fire Emblem, The Two Towers, the Wachowskis, and of course Tyra Banks' plans to build a Modelland theme park (she's holding auditions for it this weekend, whatever that means).
• Weekly Debrief! Get caught up on the latest LGBTQ news, how it affects you, and actions you can take! Weekly Debrief is your quick roundup of everything you need to know about what's happening with queer people in the world, and how you can help.

And! If you're in Seattle, I hope you'll join me for a screening of You Don't Nomi, a new documentary about Showgirls. I appear in the doc as a Showgirls expert (why not) and I'll be introducing it at Northwest Film Forum on Friday September 27. See you there!

Also! If you're in Chicago, I'll be hosting TWO Queens of Adventure live shows at Hamburger Mary's in October! The first show stars an all-new cast of local Chicago queens, and the second features our performers from Seattle. Tickets are now on sale:
