Hello Patrons!

Thanks so much for supporting The Sewers of Paris. Your pledges make the show possible, and I'm eternally grateful to you. Starting this month, I'm bringing you even more: I'll be releasing bonus episodes of the podcast, along with YouTube videos about LGBT entertainment, livestream chats, and more.

Of course, you'll still get new episodes of The Sewers of Paris every Thursday, just like always.

Along with this new content, the Patreon is switching from pledge-per-episode to pledge-per-month.

Plus, there are new rewards for Patrons! Pledge $1 per month and you'll have my eternal thanks; at $4 per month you'll get early ad-free access to YouTube videos; at $7 per month you'll get a copy of my audiobook; at $12 per month I'll thank you by name in a YouTube video; and at $20 per month I'll send you a signed copy of my book in the mail.

If you'd like to adjust your pledge, you can go to https://www.patreon.com/pledges and click "Edit Pledge."

Then click "Edit" next to "Your Reward."

And then choose the tier at which you want to pledge.

I'm making the switch to monthly pledges in large part thanks to feedback from Patrons like you. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if there are topics you want to see me cover in bonus episodes! You can reach me directly at matt@mattbaume.com or @mattbaume on Twitter.

Thanks again for being a supporter of the show. The Sewers of Paris wouldn't be possible without your contributions, and I'm super excited to bring you new stuff that you're going to love!

Matt

Matt, I am very grateful for your hard work at keeping us in Fly Over America informed. Here's a story from my home state that got me spitting mad this week. Once again, the Republicans of the Indiana Congress squashed a Hate Crimes bill for Indiana, leaving us as only one of five states without one. Apparently, the old school conservative farts balked at the idea of adding "transgender" to the list. I also read that the primary family values hate group protesting this bill was jubilant on its inability to even go beyond committee, its spokesperson commenting that it was important that "these people not feel special." There is also an interesting side note for folks who remember the Indiana RFRA mess from 2015. The evening after the bill died I was watching my local news on TV, and in a brief story that one call almost call a retraction, one of the anchors mentioned that Governor Holcomb's office had been working behind the scenes to get an all-inclusive version passed. Holcomb is a much more pragmatic version of the former Governor Pence (Putz). This tells me two things: 1) Holcomb doesn't want to repeat Putz's mistakes; 2) He doesn't want to repeat said mistakes, but is too terrified of his base to openly do the right thing. The fact that that brief fifteen second statement burp was on the local news tells me that his office must have been swamped with messages from angry Hoosiers. Thanks again, Matt. It is the work of people such as you that has inspired me to get off my fat complaining ass and get active in 2018. Keep the news coming!
