Frustrating Update to Patreon - Ranting (Patreon)

Tiers have to be made. The very thing I vehemently swore against when I took Patreon serious. All I wanted was to give you guys an additional way to support the channel(s), and to show those who supported me some behind-the-scenes/inside scoop to my work and my ideas. Because of you all, I've been able to use the funds to upgrade my content (pay for animators, hired an author, hired an audio editor, paid for audio and video licenses).

Patreon is now attempting to become a social media platform, introducing "free following". Meaning anything that is Early Access, or Patreon-only, is visible as if I just posted it on Twitter or Instagram. The only way around this, for whatever fucking reason, is if I made Tiers.

Please understand this isn't a stab at free followers. This is a frustration about the fact that I did Patreon as a way to not divide supporters ("oh if you spent MORE money, you get MORE privileges!"). Some people can't afford higher tiers, and why should I limit you from content if you're already spending money? Like, "thanks for giving me money ... now give me MORE money and you'll see more stuff!".

fuck, man.

anyway, probably gonna make standard "$1, $5, $10". no new benefits will be made -- you all get exclusive content, early access, and name in the credits - despite your tier.
