Oh this was a sweet one indeed, family, a real sweet one.

Thanks for this, helps pass the time tween the regular broadcast!!

Loved it! Gotta admit, it was definitely a welcome chill -- and a few solid giggles -- on this hot and miserable day. Thanks for that; I really needed it.

Luke Browning

I’m in love with this one. Listened to it on my replica cathedral radio the other night and it was amazing!

RIP my heart after listening to that spooky beginning and then getting startled out of my wits by an evil tween (he thinks it's sooo funny to scare me when I'm distracted. And this was an excellent distraction.) Great story. I knew I was in for a treat when I heard "a short story by Steve Shell." Thanks, ya'll, for keeping me distracted and spooked! 🖤

Andrew

I wish they would do a series between seasons of just short stories featuring characters we don’t get a lot of lore or time with

Andrew

I would love a short story like that and teen spirit that involves times when daughter Dooley is free from the babe, or short stories that come out every couple weeks between seasons that give us time with characters we don’t see very often like horned head striking a deal with some poor soul, or a coven of green practitioners dealing with some haint haunting a local church, something that gives us a feel for how other parts of the green and inner dark and unaffiliated get along when major story points aren’t happening

We can’t take requests, and we publish Patreon stories monthly as described in your tier benefits. We are two people. We do what we can.

I simply adore you two or few geniuses. Listening to your stories makes things right. Wrong, but right. you know what I mean.

If y’all wrote a book full of short stories in this universe I’d be the first person to pre-order. Y’all make me wanna write again 💕

Short but sweet!!

Excellent use of alliteration in a lot of those opening lines. Powerful metaphors too. I'd love to see what you'd do with some Old English style poetry.

Lisa Nielson

Beautifuly crafted as always. Thanks for this short but sweet story.
