The Introduction
Eight-hundred and ninety-one days after the start of the first script piece and the entire game's script has been drafted. Two and a half years later... It's insane to think that this game, every single route has been plotted. All 64 weeks of wacky Kazumi adventures have been drafted.

The Numbers
Some of you might be wondering, why did it take so long to get here? Well let me tell you! I wanted to finish the entire script, and working with someone else speeds that up but it also means you have to get each other on the same page. Sweaty Neet, my lovely co-writer has been fantastic, and we finally hit our stride at the end of 2023, really working as hard as we could to draft the game's script and actually get it to the point where all we need to do is grammar, continuity and finalization. Also the script is, before final calculation, 67,302 words long. This number includes some side commentary and things that we use to guide what part of the script we're on, so adjusting that number for that using a template gives an approximate of 61.5k ~ 63k words total.

Mochi Moshi is the size of an adult novel if you were to read nothing but the parts we have written in sequential order with no repeats. The way the game works however, if you end up re-reading parts you've already read to get to other routes you'd probably end up reading over 100,000 words! WOW! So yeah, the game took a long time to write because it's the size of a book.... on accident... Scope was never exceeded, I just never really understood what it meant to create something like this and what it really meant for size.

What's actually next?
The intro isn't finished, so my co-writer and I are going to end up working on that together. In the meantime we're going to schedule out four weeks, with a single week buffer, to finalize the script and actually call it finished finished. One week will be dedicated to each of the themes, Ass Expansion, Weight Gain, Breast Expansion and Lazy Transformation. Basically crawling through each route to make sure it makes sense, reads well, is funny and kinky enough, and generally not boring.

The Ultra Pre-Pre-Pre-Alpha Work in Progress Concept Demo
I'm going to put a bit more effort into the demo than I originally planned to. What this means is that I'm going to try and mock up some temporary visuals to sew into twine and make a chibi/SD Kazumi to see her grow along with the story. Basically making visuals really really fast that give you an idea on what the current idea of the game is and get feed back on what people want to see. The story for the demo is also going to feature a MODIFIED version of the final script so when you get that route in the game it'll feel more full, and different, than the route you read for the demo. There will be no sound or animations for the demo. If there's anything that I want to convey through images I'll show you in supplementary images. There will also be a follow up to the demo featuring a survey and a dev log.
The goal is to get this finished in March and have it in time for April. I know I said something like March before, but I don't want to split focus until we're completely done with the script's finalization. The demo's script will be done along side the finalization of the script though!

I cannot stress how excited I am to move forward into another phase of development soon. I know I'm not out of the script yet, but having the entire draft completely done is unbelievable. I don't know what to really say except thanks for sticking through this far. If you've been following me since September 2021, I want to personally thank you! You saw charm in our vision, and you wanted to support it.
