So, I decided it would be fun to input a little Q&A with my co-writer, who will be referred to as sweaty neet, and me! Yes that would be the same sweaty neet that I drew the previous image for. If you want to ask any questions at all for my co-writer and/or myself, please comment them below or contact me via messages or anything honestly! We're up to answering any questions you have about development, preference, characterization, fetishism... whatever!

The Interview
To start out, I asked three very basic and generic questions for the two of us to answer. Get you an idea of what you can ask as well as give you a bit of insight on our personalities and how we tackle the writing.

Q1. When it comes to writing for Mochi Moshi, what has been your favorite thing to write?

Sweaty Neet: My favorite thing to write is actually the dialogue and banter between Kazumi and the player character. Making the player character a bit of a straight man archetype makes it fun to write banter with different versions of Kazumi depending on the route!

Yummy Goods: Honestly the same for myself. My favorite thing to write so far has been the comedic exchanges between the player character and Kazumi. Their seemingly flirtatious back and forths always have a charm that I surprise myself with every time.

Q2. What is the most difficult thing to write when it comes to Mochi Moshi?

Sweaty Neet: Definitely coming up with character growth and plots that are even remotely compelling without letting it devolve into only fetish material. It's a hard balance to strike because depending on my mood I find myself leaning heavily into one side or the other...

Yummy Goods: The third week of any node has to be the most difficult. Creating a swelling climax to a mini-story and thinking about having to do it every single time is daunting. It's incredibly rewarding to come up with something that magically fits together well though. Even if it's difficult, that doesn't mean I'm not having fun.

Q3. What are you most excited to see Kazumi do in the future, that you haven't written yet?

Sweaty Neet: ...I want to write about her pigging out more... 🥲

Yummy Goods: Overly nerdy Kazumi that had a "fall from grace," despite landing quite softly on her plush behind unknown to her own downward spiral... Not that I've been thinking about that a lot or anything...

Post-interview Clarity
To wrap up the actual progress report, almost all of the weight gain routes are fully drafted. By the end of this month we should be 80% done with all of the Weight Gain route with two full branches (4 endings) fully written. We've come a long way and we're only getting closer and closer to the script being completed. I know that it seems like we've been working on this for a long time but there's a lot of dialog, a lot more than I thought on conception, and I'm honestly not upset at the amount of work needed to be done.

Kazumi's Design
So I finalized her design, as seen in the silly plush figure drawing I did earlier this month. A full breakdown has basically concluded that her hair is completely the same including her framing pieces (Despite missing from the doll model), and her pigtail holders that look like sharp ears. What fully changed was that her shirt is now a baseball style top that is a croptop instead of being a white tanktop that's tied to the side. Her black denim jeans are still signature but her sleeves are now a crop jacket with a wide collar that forms a sort of off shoulder cloak and an arm band tie. This part of her design now makes sense in a 3d space.
"What about her shoes!?" You might ask, well, I consider them to be pink converse high-top or not. I honestly think giving her matching pink sneakers would be cute. I don't draw shoes often, not because of any lack of prowess, I love drawing shoes, but mostly because I don't want to frame full images so I often forget.

Thank you!
Again, thank you as always for your support on this project. Please ask questions and have us answer some fun ones, or even just general curiosities! There's no such thing as a dumb question!
Your support has made this project more successful than anything I've ever sunk time into at this level. Thank you so much.
