Mini Update + Poll (Patreon)

I'm going to be redesigning some old ocs that haven't been touched in a while starting with Persephone. If there's any oc you wanna see me draw right away let me know.

I've been thinking about restructuring what I draw and what I draw for Patreon slowly. It's a thought process thing to get some stress off myself and be more satisfied with what I make for you guys.

The next set of polls for next month (September 1st and 15th) will be Splatoon, both exclusives will be Splatoon. I want to draw squid girls and the new characters revealed were cool, I hope that's not a problem.

I'm thinking about my OC content more. All of my original characters are super beloved and unique and I'm excited to work on them more. I used to do a lot more original content back in the day using them and kept fan art exclusively to Patreon. I've been thinking about cutting out fanart completely and going full original character mode. Fan art will still exist but only for characters I'm truly interested in drawing or commissions. It's been very difficult for me to really put my heart completely in some drawings recently. I do give it 100% every time I tackle a drawing, but it's hard to pull myself to that sometimes.

My original characters are great and I have a lot of faith in them, and I think that people who are new to them will enjoy them more than taking a gamble with characters they might not have any connection to. Fan art is very tough and I know that a lot of people who follow me care less about the source material and more about how I draw a character. Whether that be their body shape or my just general style. So that comes to this question below.

Free content has always been stuff I want to draw, whether that be original characters, fan art or just fun things to try out, but when it comes to paid content I've stuck with a strict fan-art only rule. Starting in October, which of these below would you feel like you would be the happiest with supporting? Genuinely I know you all love what I do at any level with anything and that's why you're giving me money to create the things that make me the happiest. What's currently making me the happiest is the freedom to go with whatever I want. In the past I've had characters that are popular to try and get more people to give me money because they want to see that character, but it causes a lot of stress managing what will make me happy to draw and what do other people want to see. I'm not a marketing manager and I'm barely a businessman. Doing all of the numbers running while also writing and managing a video game project, drawing every day, managing what I draw and making sure people see it and then think about giving me cash is stressful. I know there's a lot of artists who are in this boat too.

Thank you again for everyone who supports me. There'll be a large Mochi Moshi update in the last week of this month. It'll happen on the 28th or 29th of this month so please keep an eye out for it. The reason for it's delay instead of the, used to be, average 21st-23rd of the month will be a good thing. Patreon poll will also go up next week on the 24th or 25th to give you guys enough time to figure which of the three new Splatoon girls you would want me to draw. Shiver, Frye or Harmony.
