Another month as gone by and progress has been slow but rewarding. The balancing act of art, this side project, and various other ways to try and make money enough to live is a tough one! I thank everyone who has supported me this far with Project Android, my Exclusive art, Commissions and even just browsing my stuff!

Last time I explained that I was whittling down the Android's character by producing example dialog that would help actually write the first act. Actual progress on writing the first act actually hasn't happened yet to be honest. But that's actually fine for now. Let me explain what the next steps are for the project.

The game is being built using Ren'py with custom python scripts for certain gameplay aspects but before we get to that the game is being completely flow charted using Twine. This decision was made super early on to get the pathing done right as well as some hidden variable goofiness.  

But what IS the variable stuff exactly? Let me explain a little bit about the Android's affection/connection/trust, whatever you wanna call it, meter. Basically there's a hidden variable that, depending on how you interact with the Android, will effect her overall openness to you. If this meter ever runs out it's instant game over no matter where you are in the story. Think Façade when you talk about melons but actually meaningful and realistic enough.

Even though our Android girl is an android she still has the ability to process and connect things emotionally enough to where if you say something weird or even perverted enough, she gets turned off by it. This game really isn't a dating sim out the bat and you can't hit hug on the android 10 times before getting a flirty moodlet like the sims. This decision was made to progress the game as a story driven game that has a fetishistic driven plot device rather than just a spanking pud game. This is the kind of game I want and again I want to be transparent about it.

Okay so I've talked about so far what needs to happen next in development, which is writing the script in twine and connecting the flow chart, and I've talked about a mechanic that hasn't really been explained until this point. I want to add on as a point to everyone here that, the longer I take on the game the more stuff I want to do with it, not in terms of scope creep because the game hasn't expanded at all, but with specific scenes being upgraded to unique custom scenes and possible polishes. Obviously those things are far off the line but just putting out my line of thinking.
