The boy that Asuka met as a little girl and the question about who he was is not going to be brought up again in the show so I don´t think it is a spoiler to give my theory about it. In the previous episode where Hinata talks to Misaki about his past he mentioned that some "boy" challenged him to a match and how Hinata lost that match. In this episode Misaki says that when she was little she was often mistaken for a boy and that she liked to randomly challenge people to matches and she also mentions in the end there that the boy that Asuka met kind of reminded her of a boy she played against when she was a kid. So I think based on this that the boy Asuka met as a kid is Hinata and what is even more interesting is that they played eachother as kids and that Misaki actually won. :)
