If you remember how Alpha was that giant blob, Rose had the same growth occurring on her. That is the "possession" which has been mentioned throughout the story. Cid figured out how to cure it though like he did with Alpha so he did the same here. Cid has actually directly cured and powered up all of the 7 shades. The rest of shadow garden was recruited by the Alpha and the rest of the 7 shades who used their own power to cure them. Directly receiving power from Cid is seen as a great honor in their organization. In the scene where he first visits the department store and throws up sparkles of his magic upwards to everyone that is why they are so moved.

Oh okay so it was the curse of diablos happening on Rose. I thought it might be something else cause it suddenly manifested but I think for humans it comes later compared to the elves aka the 7 shades since we saw them get it when they were younger?

You might be onto something there. In the LN (don't worry about spoilers, I just started, the anime is still 3 episodes ahead of me) it's mentioned that Elves are most likely to be "possessed" Therianthropes, the "beast man/kin", are the second place with Humans being least likely to be "possessed". This is explained by their lifespans/generation time. The possession happens to the "Hero Descendants" and the stronger the blood flows in your veins the more likely it becomes. Since Elves live the the longest they also have the longest generation time and therefore they are fewer generations removed from the time Diabolos was slain, the blood is still strongest within them. The Therianthrope's lifespan lies somewhere between Elves and humans so they are the next likely and humans with the shortest lifespan are the least likely to become "possessed".
