I did love how this episode kept one of Fran’s major character moments, I was worried that it would cut it. That would have ruined my trust in the anime, after all this novel is a story about Fran not Shishou. It’s about Fran growing stronger and more mature proving that black cats can evolve and should not be looked down on. NGL the moment I read her reveal her awakening skill that she got from evolving(whenever a beast man evolves they get a transformation that all evolved members of their race have) I got goosebumps. It had the same energy as hearing Ichigo say Bankai for the first time. Our glimpse of alternate timeline Fran was wonderful too, the person who due to things not going nearly as well for her as our Fran ended up a lot stronger but also in a really bad emotional place, her using essentially a demigodess mode along with Shishou activating divine sword release and drawing on the power of the evil god was so strong that they mentioned that Fran required permission from the gods to go all out due to maps changing and barriers the gods used to seal S rank threats being destroyed.
