I read a comment elsewhere explaining who Kumoko is in the present/future. I'm not going to spoil anything because it made no sense to me. 😋 And as you said, for an anime that heavily uses CG this episode was excellently animated.

As someone who has read the LN, I can say that the ending scene with the red eyes suggests that araba wasn't the end boss of the labyrinth, mother is. if you remember, araba was on the lower stratum of the dungeon, but the anime did mention that there was the bottom stratum below it.
