We need a season 2 for sure, yes. In good news, the manga so far is well over 100 chapters, and the anime has only covered around 47 chapters, so still plenty to go!

I started reading the manga. At the end of the first volume (around episode 2) the mangaka has some notes. "At present, she remains a mystery. I considered revealing her full identity before they started living together, but after some thought I decided to keep the readers in the dark for a while. Later, when you go back and re-read this volume, you may have a completely different impression." That bastard, guess I gotta keep buying more volumes.

It is pretty meta that the mangaka teased a huge backstory that... doesn't really matter when we can just watch Tsukasa and Nasa shop for a futon. When do you know you are in love? I don't know, when you stop worrying about why your wife can't die and keeps talking about ancient Japan in present tense?

I read a couple articles, the manga has been collected in 13 volumes I think it said and season 1 only covered roughly 2 of the collected. No 100% confirmed season 2 but the manga and anime got better recognition then any other rom com in the last couple years so it's just a wait for the announcement, an OVA is coming out earlier 2021, they said based on the progression of the story season 2 will focus on mostly more home life/ possible small school stuff and the typical anime tropes couples seem to have. The "back story" whether it's actually what people think or it's just some red herring might not happen until season 3 just to ride to mystery out a bit.
