Also, its pretty obvious crosses doesn't work on Vampires, since Himari is always wearing a choker with a cross around her neck xD

Well Himari isn't a vampire, Hikari is. But yeah they don't do anything to them.

I love that detail. Hikari's hair buns are based on Eiko Ishioka's Dracula design in Bram Stoker's Dracula, while Himari's gothic choker & cross are often worn by urban fantasy heroines. Design wise they are played up as antagonists and a bit of that dynamic is present in their relationship.
