My take. This is a story of Kaguya-hime returning to Earth and Nasa is a reincarnation of the Emperor who loved her. He didn't take the immortality potion in the original fable and his love for the "moon goddess" passed down through the generations... hence the name NASA. She rejected him when he ruled a nation but is able to share a life with this reincarnation. But, of course, he will struggle with being so average and not feeling worthy of her love.

This is a cute series, I agree the firsts are funny given the circumstances, I will remind people though that according to the marriage license he's 18 and she's 16 so while I know Japan is a bit let's say different on some subjects then some of the world and yes many kids are arranged marriaged between 14 and 18 in various countries even some here in the states like Gypsies and such marry young but I assume this story stays minorly pg-ish for the age situation. Plus it's likely just better comedy to have 2 derpy awkward kids married and neither comfortable doing too much then 2 ridiculous people all over eachother lol
