Remember last episode when Bam and Rachel held hands, their hands were glowing. In this episode Rachel couldn't see this. about the 2nd season, I'm sure this will pass the Manabi line.

Ah that makes sense with her lack of shinsu and why she made that messed up expression after Bam mentioned that. My hatred for Rachel made me totally miss that lol

My interpretation... The world is awful. Everyone is awful. Rachel had a moment when she showed humanity to Bam & that left a stronger impression on Bam than her. Bam is an irregularity in this world and he has changed everyone who he has come in contact with. Everyone except Rachel who has kept him at arm's length because she has always seen him as a distraction from her ultimate goal. Bam isn't Bam without Rachel's influence but Bam is barely a footnote in the story Rachel has planned for herself.
