I really like how this episode addresses the importance of having a really close relationship as opposed to casual friends. For all the flak that Japan gets for being "cold and closed off", I actually think it's worse in the West, because all of our "openness" is fake, while, in Japan, it may not be expressed as much, it feels more genuine.
