Your subtitles translated her inital Russian for "I love/like you" into English whereas they showed only Russian subtitles in Japan and seemingly assumed that most people cannot read Russian. Alya also seemed to assume that Kuze could not understand her. The Japanese version only translated Alya's Russian during her monologue at the end.

Yea unfortunately these subtitles weren't done very well especially when Alya told Kuze she liked/loved him.

Something about the past still just doesn't add up. The girl Masachika is remembering has blonde hair and blue eyes. The hair color is one thing but eye color would mean Masha is wearing colored contacts the whole time. Well technically blue eyes becoming brown is a thing but that usually happens in babies or really young children, Masachika and the girl in the flashback seem to old for this to be something normal. I am starting to feel like the whole thing with Masha being the girl in his memories and him being the guy in her locket might be a red herring in some way shape of form. Like she knows him from a different time or she just also got to know him when he and Alya were playing together
