So I've had my Wacom Cintiq 27QHD long enough to LOVE it, and get really used to it. It has this little remote control thing that you use with your off hand to simplify a lot of the keyboard key strokes in Illustrator and Photoshop that you'd normally be using 1 and 2 hands on. It's a great addition to an artistic workflow.

Well, it broke yesterday. Or rather the battery puffed up like it was pregnant and I had to dispose of it. Though I'm still WELL under warranty, I can't find my receipt, and Wacom can't seem to find any record of me purchasing the thing.

Now I'm stuck with a crappy choice. They say they'll research it, and try to see if they can work with me somehow on replacing the remote, but I believe that will add at least a week or two onto the process of getting me my new remote and there's no guarantee they WILL replace it free.  OR, I can just pony up the 100 bucks to buy a new one and hopefully get it in a week or two.

In the mean time, drawing has become awkward as I'm back to using the keyboard, and I've totally forgotten how. Boooo!

Did you buy it directly from Wacom or was it a store purchase?
