Changing It Up #2 (Patreon)

The second in my series of "experimentation." There were several things I tried with this piece, including but not limited to: skipping the inking phase, reorienting my workflow a bit, and practicing shading. Unfortunately this piece ended up teaching me more about why I have the workflow I do (because it's efficient) than giving me useful alternatives to my habits. Several of the changes I made to my workflow for this drawing ended up slowing me down for basically zero tangible benefit in the finished product. I have an idea for how to approach the next piece differently though, so that's one positive takeaway!
