  Few issues to be fixed in the final; a better fit for Cammy's arm straps, another pass on the tickle device to get it feeling right, and some improved Eevee lighting (Eevee STILL requires TLC to avoid shadows bugging out 😩), but I'm loving it. A reminder that you don't need to have everything perfect to start animating; you can fix things as you go! 

  Currently animating variations of Juri's little whip swing; using FK animation for the arm. IK is my default, as it's simply easier to animate the body without worrying about the arms constantly changing position, but for that wonderful "overswing" effect, you have to use FK (no way to get the forearm to swing back and "delay" for the whip crack with IK).

  As many of you know, I'm a BIG proponent of using the graph editor, but I've actually realized I may be SLIGHTLY too dependent (and maybe a bit pretentious), about using it. For the whip swing, instead of trying to get everything smooth in the graph editor, I've actually been going frame by frame to "paint" each individual pose in the dopesheet. 

  Normally, my prerogative is to do the work with as few keyframes as possible, which keeps things nice and orderly. But when you have a dramatic and fast motion like this, I've had some success with curating (almost) every frame, making sure the whole motion is smooth and pleasant. 

  Will upload a blog on this new insight at some point, but for now, it's back to work!
