Transparency like this is never considered "good news," and I know a lot of people are excited that I'm getting back to Red vs Blue content, but I need to learn from my past mistakes with inconsistency and lack of communication, so while this is hard for me to discuss because I hate disappointing people, I want the quality of my videos to be maintained, without sacrificing my well-being or other obligations. First off, I'm not dropping RVB or going on another hiatus, but something has to change because I love this show, perhaps too much. The raw recording footage of my latest Red vs Blue reaction and discussion for Season Episode 5-7 is currently 2 hours and 31 minutes long. This does NOT include the additional clips or footage that I like to have for discussion context, nor does this account for the time needed to edit everything together. As a result of this and my first reaction batch (Ep. 1-4) being almost 2 hours long, I'm making the difficult but reasonable decision to make my Red vs Blue upload schedule at least bi-weekly, and potentially longer depending on the time that's NEEDED. At this point, I'm focusing on RVB, RWBY content, streaming, and anime content, so rather than full-stop, I want to give equal time to everything so consistency is ultimately upheld. I know this might feel like a vast gap between uploads, but I cannot kill myself to get 2-3 hour videos out per week, as I did during Season 9 or 10. I remember a comment back then equating that work output to a school book report per week, which they felt was a cause for concern, and they were ultimately correct as it took me months to recoup before I was ready to start Season 11. That shit was seriously unhealthy for me to do. While I enjoyed the process at the moment, it's very clear from my massive hiatuses between seasons that it tends to catch up with me and have long-term effects on my mental health and ability to maintain consistency. I'd rather have a video come out once every two weeks, or even once a month if it means that it at least came out when I said it would, and people have that expectation set. I feel like if I don't do this, I will fall back into old habits and set myself up for failure and disappointment like in the past. I'm sorry to derail the hype train somewhat. Still, for those who enjoy my reactions, theories, discussions, and overall thought process, I hope the almost three hours of content indicates that I'm excited to talk about everything that's to come. At the very least, it'll be worth the wait for you guys. I really hope you understand and until then, I've got work to do, so I'll be around.
