Good afternoon my dears! I hope you are doing well today! I also hope you enjoyed Tuuk if you did read it! So what exactly inspired it really?

Well, I sat in the employee's lounge at work and listened to my other co-workers have a discussion. It was about a lot of things really, none of them good. How the increasing cost of housing on the market was killing us. How so many people that come into our stores can be hurtful and terrible. You could feel that bitterness in the air, I promise you. So I pulled up a chair and started on about what kind of books they liked, or tv shows, or really things that made them happy.

I think five minutes later it was a chatter of childhood recollections and fond remembrances.  So when I went back to my own way I sketched out Tuuk. It can be easy to get caught on the finer details of a sharp negative. It can be easy to simplify life and listen to the volume of horrible things in this world. Sometimes though we need to speak up about the good things too. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of the things we love, of the things we hope for.

Anyone can do this. Anyone can shift the wheel for a little and lead others in a direction of warmth and comfort. I think we all deserve that. So Tuuk came along as a friendly reminder that good things are hiding away in us all even when the moments appear grim or otherwise.

Prove me right, won't you? :)
